2009: Arden Grange & SHCGB Aviemore Rally

This event is the main event of the year, with 1000's of huskies & people making their way to Aveimore for the biggest event provided by SHCGB.

This year saw the 'unveiling' of the new welfare information stand and merchandise stall!! On display was breed & welfare information for all five of the sleddog breeds welcome at SHCGB races; Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, Canadian Eskimo Dogs, Greenland Dogs & Samoyeds.

Benson, the welfare husky joined the stall & received lots of cuddles from members of the public & happily gobbled treats from the Arden Grange staff in the tent next door!!

In addition, the welfare merchandise was on sale, in the form of fridge magnets, mouse mats, badges, key rings & stickers, which have been hand made by club members to raise vital funds for SHCGB welfare.
In the evening, as part of the Mushers Market the Welfare Team provided a Raffle with the top prize being a Dog Scooter & various other prizes such as; harnesses, lines, leads, collars, cuddly huskies & a big bag of food provided by Arden Grange.

This event received a massive amount of support from the club members & the public, again, raising vital funds for welfare!!

Well Done & Thanks for everyone support!!
