RAINBOW BRIDGE

YouTube Video

It is with great sadness that we have to tell you all that Heidi was given sleep at her home surrounded by her family It was a very hard decision for us all to make but Heidi was telling her family it was time to go, her age was taking it's toll on her body and we believe it is important to let our loved ones go with peace and dignity.
Matt & Sarah  fostered Heidi for over 3 years and Heidi  had formed a very special bond with their eldest daughter Kacie. Heidi arrived in Welfare with her companion Caian who was also fostered by Matt and Sarah and sadly  given sleep late last year due to the effects of old age. I know I'm not alone in saying that SHCGB Welfare are all grateful for the fantastic life Matt & Sarah gave to Heidi. RIP Heidi and wear your silver harness with pride at Rainbow Bridge.

FEBRUARY FUN

posted 28 Feb 2011 14:07 by Sue Jones   [ updated 28 Feb 2011 14:52 ]

Hello everybody so sorry it's been a while but well I have been very busy.

Dad and the youngsters have been touring the country in the Yellow Peril taking part in rallies as it is the working season. I myself usually stay at home and man the fort with Caian I mean who wants to be out in this weather?

I did however attend The Sherwood Forest Rally  the weather was lovely and I did feel some supervision and checking up on was required.
I took it upon myself to look after the van and kit while they were off running about and jolly good job I did I mean any old dog could have jumped in and pinched the treat bucket I have written a report to mum. When dad and the kids has stopped playing in the forest I went for a nice walk and joined the kids in the sun on the stakeout - we didn't get any stake though?

It was very nice meeting some of the people who have been so kind and helped me by Sponsoring my medicines, as you can see Im a very happy girl.I quite enjoyed myself but I don't think I would like to do it in the rain I mean my lovely coat would get all muddy and wet.

Let's see what else.... oh yes Caian who Ive lived with for like always and still do Mum & Dad have kept him too are they the bestest ever? Well Caian had his 14th Birthday Kacie our special little girl gave him a special hug and song which was nice this is him by the way

Handsome isn't he ??

Oh and we had the most lovely walk at the sea-side it was a grey day and a bit windy but Caian had his special coat on and our Special Little Girl was all wrapped up too and because it is secluded and a cove we got to have a little run free ..Sssshhh don't tell anyone It was a great family day.

Well that is all for this month.
I am going to Crufts on FRIDAY 11th MARCH 2011
I will be signing autographs at the
Welfare Stand Hall 3A
so do come and see me.

Tell you all about it next month

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well here goes, Auntie says that I need to write a blog so I can let all my fans know whats happening in my life. I think im a little old to start learning how to use a computer, so I'll get dad to do the typing!
First of all Happy New Year and I hope you have all had a great Christmas. As well as all the excitment of Christmas we also had all that snow to play in. I enjoyed lots of walks in the deep snow, chasing snowballs and digging. It's been a busy few weeks at home with all my little girl's new toys to play with and mum and dad attempting to tidy up.
As a finally note, I would like to thank everyone that has donated money to my cause, it is all very much appreciated. As you can see I am a very happy active girl.

I will update again soon and hopefully dad can do some little videos of me so you can see me in action.

Lots of love and Woos

Heidi xx

A Lesson in Heidi History x

posted 23 Nov 2010 06:26 by Sue Jones   [ updated 23 Nov 2010 07:07 ]

Hello you may have noticed me on the Rehoming & Dog of the Month boards as Swiss Miss - well my real name is Heidi and I am now 12 years old
I first came to Welfare in 2005 when I was 7  and my owner couldnt keep me & they found me a new home. Unfortunately in September 2009 I found myself back again due to a change in my new owners circumstances with my buddy Caian. Our Foster Family said he could stay with them forever as he was an elderly 10 year old and wouldnt cope with another move. But I was young at heart 10 and healthy, and could have a chance of a new home.

Sadly I am still looking for my forever home but the Team reckon it is unlikely as not only am I now 12 years old but in summer this year I was diagnosed with Diabetes and I have to have an Insulin injection twice a day, and although Auntie Tessa has organised fund raisers and some lovely people have sponsored my medicines people probably won't want to give me the injections evn though I am very good.

Anyway enough moping as that is not me, I am a happy girl. Auntie Gina (the Webmistress) and Auntie Welfare have let me have my own page on here so that I can keep in touch with all my lovely sponsors and make lots of new friends and show you all what it is like to be a Welfare Dog. I'm going to have to get FD (foster dad) Matt and FM (foster mum) Sarah to help me with the photo's can't take them and be in them!! and I will also get Auntie Tessa to write stuff to.

SO WATCH THIS SPACE

Woo's &Kisses Heidi

PS don't worry I can stay with my Foster Family forever if no-one wants me cos they love me very much and I love them too x
