ADOPTING A HUSKY‎ > ‎

Looking for a home

Not all our dogs are on the website, some are awaiting photographs or are requiring longer care periods before being ready for adoption.

Please remember that there is more to a dog than its looks, and the cute one may not be right for you. We do our best to match the right dog to the right home, but please take in to consideration that all these dogs will come with baggage some just a purse others a trunk. We do explain the dogs needs to you and we can only go on how the dog has acted whilst in our care, occaisonally they suprise us, usually pleasantly.Big or small baggage they all need time, patience and understanding to help them fit in to your home and life.

Only miracles & mushrooms happen overnight!

If you would like to adopt one of our huskies please ring:
 0871 277 6783 Option 3 then option 1. Monday - Friday only.

Don't forget our sticky dogs! These are dogs who through no fault of their own have been with us a long time, usually because they are older or aren't as pretty as some of the others. Remember Siberians are long lived 7yrs is NOT old they are in their prime, we donot consider them veterans until they reach double figures.

GANNY & GADGIE

BROTHER & SISTER         11 1/2YRS        LINCS

Hello Auntie has called us Gadgie and Ganny in honour of the Geordie lads who drove all the way down from the North to the South to pick us and our Kennel mates up and take us to our foster homes - It is a term for an elderly lady and gent.
Ganny is my sister she is white and I'm Gadgie I'm grey.

We used to have a lovely life running in a very fast racing team, when we got too old our owner let us stay with someone he thought would love us as much as he did. After a few years she left us and our friends to starve to death, you may have met some of them on here.
Ganny nearly died she was so very weak when the lovely lady rescued us she had to be carried to her house and nursed like a puppy, as you can see a year later she is still very slim as am I the vet says some is our age but it will take a very long time to get us plump again.
When we were well enough to leave the lovely lady sent us and some more of our friends to Auntie who has found us a lovely foster mum and dad, (sadly our original owner couldnt take us back due to ill health)

We are elderly but we enjoy walks and treats Ganny always finds them in your pockets all we want is a loving home, a warm bed, interesting walks and cuddles forever,.
Would you be able to offer us that we do need to be together.

Hello Geordie here I'm one of the famous 14 who were neglected and starved - yes I know I don't looked it but I was, I have also been mistreated as Im very very frightened of raised voices and sudden hand movements.
My FM says Im awesome I just moved in and started to play with her children and dogs straight away I enjoy people (I don't hold grudges)
and have had a go at this working in harness lark it is great fun but don't worry if you can't do that I would have just as mush fun going for walks. I like cuddles too.

No it's not de ja vu I'm back again -Sadly things didn't quite work out for me  at my new home I tried but I just didn't like one of the older huskies and I'm ashamed to say I bullied her all the time so Auntie said it wasn't fair on her and I had to come back my new mum agreed even though she was very very sad and cried lots. I dont mind I'm back with FM and all my pals that's the good bit about being a husky we don't do sad good byes we always look forward never back.
So here I am ready and waiting for my new forever home I did get on well with the other old husky so perhaps I would be better with just one friend or none either will be cool and if the latter then I want my human about most of the time please.
Any way I am really nice and Im pretty and I love people and fuss and Im a good girl.

8 YEARS    MALE

Hi My name is Nomad - cos I keep going wandering!! Im 8 years old I really like people but not other dogs much. I'm well fit and busy so I would like to stay that way please I'm good with little people too. I am an expert at getting out of doors and through gaps in fences so I will need a secure environment so I don't get into trouble anymore. Ideally I'd suit an active home with some one about most of the time or secure dog run if you out female dog for company but nothing too dominant.
P.S. I'm very handsome too Auntie says so xx

MALE    9  YEARS    RED & WHITE    FELIXSTOWE SUFFOLK

Well spent most of my life in a breeding kennel then when I was no use I got rehomed to a family. The son became my friend and he and I had a good time together we went out on the bike and running and shared stuff it was great much better than living in a small pen all the time. Then one day he didn't come home I waited and waited but he still didn't come everyone was very sad, my friend had been killed. His family didn't want me and after a while they phoned Auntie Welfare she said that they wanted me and would you believe they had had my sister in and rehomed her and still had my brother 'Clay' in small world.

So hear I am with foster dad and his sled dogs and Jax another foster dog (on left) and Im and getting settle and happy again. So I would like a loving family with a doggie friend nice walks and a place to chill please xxxxxxxxx

Cute ain't I?

Iam a great dog and my family was a great family - (I came to live with them when I was 7 months old as my first family were not nice) - However much as we tried and boy did we try we just didn't fit, even the behaviourist told mum to get rid of me and I was still only a baby but mum kept trying. Anyway things kind of came to a head last week and Well here I am and you know what we all agree we should have done it sooner My old pack and family are happier and relaxed and so am I . Auntie says it happens sometimes even in humans people just don't get along even though they can't there's no rhyme nor reason for it.

Anyway that's why now for the cool stuff Check this out this is me doing ma thing

I'm really smart and I love to be busy I love on lead agility, I'm sure I could do obedience but again on lead or indoor (big dogs) Love target work, Walking is boring but I think exercising with a scooter or bicycle or running caniX or jogging is the best ...see Im a busy boy.
I have met small people but haven't lived with them so best be with over 12's unless they are Husky trained.
I love the ladies human and canine, Males both types not so keen but some are ok...?

oh yeah love cuddles too .....Like who doesn't

                   MALE        9YRS YOUNG        CHESHIRE

This is what my Foster mum says about me "A lovely if vocal dog. Whenever you touch or stroke him he makes his happy wooing noises.  He enjoys nothing more than a quick run round the garden, a brisk stroll on his lead and then back into the house so he can curl up on the settee and catch some more zzzz's."
Well since she wrote that like my borther Bugjam I have been learning to scooter  and like him I like it lots so now we are quite fit - but yeah still like to shillout on the settee or sunbath in the garden, come on who doesn't?
I want to live with my brother and like him Im friendly loving like small people and other dogs don't ask a lot just nice walks cuddles food and chill time with you and my bro' xxxxxx

My Foster Mum says "A lovely dog if he were any more laid back he would be horizontal"
I'm currently waiting for my forever home with my brother Sturgis we do need to go together. Like him I enjoy being part of the family going for walks, or pleasant runs with the scooter or bicycle and chilling on the settee with you. I like sunbathing and cuddles and I am a good boy.
